C language

C language is one of the most popular and successful computer programming of all time and considered to be the origin of all the modern programming language today. All The programming languages which are used today such as Object Oriented Languages, Java, Python, Ruby, Perl Scripting Languages like PHP, Bash, Lua etc are taken all there syntax's and functions from C language. This language are also used for the programming of Micro programming and for making device drivers. Learning C programming is a very good idea to get a better understanding of all the advanced programming languages of today.

At present C language is the most popular and frequently used languages for developing computer system programs. One of the major benefits of learning C language is its user friendly behavior that permits the user to read and write a program for a wide range of platforms.

C language are developed by DENNIS RITCHIE in 1972, It derived most of its important features from "Basic Combined Programming Language", ALGOL(ALGOrithmic Language) and B languages. Due to its popularity this language came with its different version. In December 1989, the American National Standards Institutes "ANSI" came with a standardized version of C language and called it as ANSI C. But in 1990, the ISO ( International Standards Organization) adopted this ANSI standard and this version of C standard is known as C89. But in 1995, a few major change were made in the previous version and came up with another version named C95.

During 90's another programming languages such as C++ and JAVA also became popular among programming community, and hence the standardization committee felt about some change in the previous version and came up with its new version in 1999 with named C99. But till today, C language is such an important language that, jumping to other modern time languages such as advanced object oriented language such as C++, Java becomes so easy to learn.

Another important feature of C language is its portability. Any program written on one computer can be run on another computer with little or no modification done.
